Crowned winner of the 1980s Decade Award at this year’s Concours of Elegance Germany, the 1985 Aston Martin V8 Vantage is a true icon of British performance. Renowned as one of the fastest and most powerful British grand tourers of its era, the V8 Vantage combined muscular styling with impressive performance from its hand-built 5.3-litre V8 engine. Capable of around 170 mph and 0–60 mph in just over five seconds, the V8 Vantage earned a reputation as Britain’s first true supercar. Its distinctive design featured a deep front spoiler, closed-off grille and prominent rear spoiler, giving it an unmistakable appearance. More than 40 years later, this striking example remains a standout representation of Aston Martin’s performance heritage and unmistakable British design. 📷: Miriam Mayer
