WHO IS THE Emerging Collectors CONCOURS FOR?

This new Concours is designed specifically for the next generation of motoring enthusiasts who will become the renowned collectors of the future. On the rise, they are currently classified as emerging collectors. A generation that will face possibly the greatest challenges to the vintage and classic automobile hobby, as vehicle prices soar, and petrol becomes less and less popular.

This inclusive event is for anyone, 35 or under, and was created to support, celebrate and shine a light on the future of our community and diverse motoring passions. The only stipulation is that the car must be personally owned by the applicant.

You will be an integral part of the Sunday event with opportunities to present your car on our Concours stage, and indeed win not only your class but outright the Emerging Collectors Concours. We cannot wait to receive your applications and hopefully see you later this year.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for cars with a story that highlight your particular interest in our hobby, to enthral your fellow enthusiasts, spark conversation, challenge the norm and encourage the next generation. Whether your car is a perfect Mk1 Ford Fiesta, a well-loved Austin 7, a 1965 Mustang Fastback or a Nissan Skyline, we want to hear about your custodianship of your motoring passion.

Did you find the car in the scrapyard and fully restore it? Do you race it? What plans have you got for it in the future? Why do you want to enter the Emerging Collectors Concours?

Welcome to the third edition of the world-class Concours of Elegance Germany, set on the beautiful shores of Lake Tegernsee. It is an honour to represent the next generation of passionate, emerging collectors at the 2026 Concours of Elegance Germany.

My love of cars began in childhood in Melbourne, Australia, when my parents would buy Hot Wheels and Tomica cars for my brother and I at the supermarket. Dad even built us wooden garages to park them in—proof that nothing really changes; who doesn’t dream of a barn full of classic cars? That early excitement never left me.

I grew up surrounded by cars, and through them formed lifelong friendships with people who share the same passion. Together, we went on to create one of Australia’s most successful and iconic automotive events, Highball Cars & Coffee at Bosch.

Since moving to Munich, I have enjoyed experiencing the incredible car culture across Germany and Europe—from local gatherings to world-class events—and, most importantly, meeting great people through our shared love of cars and driving. It is inspiring to see so many young enthusiasts embracing youngtimers, oldtimers, and the future of collecting, while celebrating the engineering and design of the world’s greatest automotive manufacturers.

The Concours of Elegance Germany also holds very special memories for me, as it is where I met my partner, Nathalie Ruf, this year’s Ladies Concours Ambassador. Together, we are honoured to represent this exceptional event and share our passion for cars, community, and the next generation of collectors.

I am proud to support the Emerging Collectors Concours, an inclusive event celebrating enthusiasts aged 35 and under who will help shape the future of our passion. I look forward to welcoming and celebrating the collectors, cars, and stories that will define the next generation.

Emerging Collectors Concours – Winner

The overall winner of the Emerging Collectors Concours will be selected by the owners themselves, in keeping with the convivial nature of the event. The winner, whether a British favourite, Japanese road racer or American icon, will offer a glimpse of what makes younger enthusiasts tick, and the cars they most covet.
