Munich, June 11, 2025:
At the end of July, Lake Tegernsee becomes the ultimate destination for automobile enthusiasts. The Concours of Elegance Germany, presented by A. Lange & Söhne, returns to Gut Kaltenbrunn for the second time on July 25–26, showcasing some of the rarest cars in the world. Visitors can expect around 200 top-class automobiles, with 50 rarities alone competing for the main prize: the Best of Show Award. Organiser Thorough Events now offers a preview of ten hand-picked cars from the elite line-up.
Spanning nearly 100 years of automotive history, these collector’s items include:
1931 Delage D8 Roadster by Henri Chapron – A one-off open-top work of art, taking part in the CoEG for the first time. Its current owner won Best of Show in 2024 with a 1939 Lancia Astura Pininfarina Cabriolet.
1932 Austro Daimler Bergmeister – A luxurious five-meter-long grand tourer originally owned by Berlin actress Maria Matray. It underwent full restoration and now appears in first-class condition.
1958 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster – A German sports car icon, one of the earliest built, exported to the US, later returned and restored in Europe. It shines in its original white color with over 200 hp.
1960 Aston Martin DB4 – A British classic known for its elegant design and aluminium lightweight construction. Powered by a 3.7L straight-six, the DB4 was offered in various body styles.
1964 Lotus 30 – A racing eye-catcher embodying British motorsport DNA, built under Group 7 rules with a fiberglass body and 4.7L V8 engine also used in the Ford GT40.
1965 Ogle Triplex GTS – A prototype once owned by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Making its world Concours debut, it was developed by Ogle and Triplex to showcase cutting-edge glass technologies with a shooting-brake design.
1965 Ferrari 275 GTS – One of only around 200 made, this elegant open-top two-seater has a fully documented history and was meticulously restored in the late ’90s. It features a 260 hp V12 engine and is certified by Ferrari.
1967 Serenissima Agena – A one-off prototype, unrestored and in original condition. Born from a feud between Count Giovanni Volpi and Enzo Ferrari, it features a 3.5L V8 with 320 hp and a space-age design.
1985 BMW M 635 CSi – A Bavarian exotic representing BMW’s high-performance six-cylinder era. In pristine, unrestored condition, it was a frequent class winner at past Concours events.
1992 Lamborghini LM002 – A young but extravagant SUV originally developed for the US military. Only 301 were produced, and this unit (no. 281) features rare single-point injection. It makes its first Concours appearance, despite regular rally use.
Beyond the 50 exclusive Best of Show entries, CoEG hosts additional competitions:
- Ladies’ Concours – Celebrating female collectors and their exceptional cars.
- Emerging Collectors Concours – Sponsored by A. Lange & Söhne, aimed at young, rising car collectors.
- Junior Concours – Sponsored by Sotheby’s International Realty Munich, where kids aged 3–12 experience collector culture as junior mechanics and drivers.
Thanks to numerous automotive partners, visitors can look forward to 200 unique cars, enhanced by exclusive luxury and lifestyle brands.
