Rallying Legend Christian Geistdörfer to Lead Concours of Elegance Germany Tour
Renowned motorsport icon Christian Geistdörfer, celebrated for his illustrious rallying career spanning 15 years, is set to play a pivotal role in the inaugural Concours of Elegance Germany as Tour Director.
Geistdörfer, who achieved global acclaim as co-driver alongside Walter Röhrl, notably clinching the World Rally Championship in 1980 and 1982 and securing the runner-up position in 1983, brings unparalleled expertise to the event. His meticulous pace notes and impeccable timing were instrumental in Röhrl’s success, earning him admiration and respect across the motorsport community.
Beyond his triumphs with Röhrl, Geistdörfer’s reputation as a sought-after co-driver was solidified by his numerous national awards and 13 WRC victories, including four wins at the prestigious Monte Carlo Rally. His innovative approach to pace notes and navigational strategies revolutionized co-driving techniques, setting new standards for future generations.
