In July 2026, Concours of Elegance Germany will present a special tribute to one of Italy’s most evocative names: Maserati.

As Maserati marks the Year of the Trident in 2026, celebrating 100 years since the debut of the iconic Trident emblem and the brand’s first appearance in motorsport with the Tipo 26 at the Targa Florio, we will honour this remarkable milestone with a dedicated feature at Gut Kaltenbrunn on Lake Tegernsee.

Our homage will bring together a collective of exceptional Maseratis from across the decades – a carefully curated gathering that reflects the breadth of the marque’s character, from competition thoroughbreds and grand touring icons to some of the most elegant and charismatic road cars ever created.

Few names in the automotive world carry such layered history. Founded in Bologna in 1914, Maserati’s story is deeply rooted in early motorsport, craftsmanship, innovation, and the enduring symbolism of the Trident.

The first vehicle to be confirmed is a 1970 Maserati Ghibli SS Coupé, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro in just three months following his move from Bertone to Carrozzeria Ghia. He later described it as his most beautiful creation. Matching-numbers and matching-colours, it has covered just 81,000km in its 56-year life and represents one of the most thoroughly documented Ghibli SS models in existence.

Famous owners of the model included Henry Ford II, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Sammy Davis Jr. and Peter Sellers, and the car achieved further cultural prominence as the automotive centrepiece of the 1969 film La Piscine, alongside Romy Schneider and Alain Delon.
