Concours of Elegance Germany 2026 Opens to Record Crowds at Lake Tegernsee

The 2026 Concours of Elegance Germany has got off to a spectacular start at Gut Kaltenbrunn, with record crowds gathering on the shores of Lake Tegernsee to celebrate nine decades of exceptional automotive history.

Beneath clear blue skies, visitors enjoyed a full day of automotive action on Saturday, with the assembled concours field taking to the main stage in turn – a procession of pre-war coachwork, post-war icons and competition machinery stretching from the 1920s to the present day.

The afternoon brought further drama when RM Sotheby’s held their Tegernsee auction, with 20 world-class lots going under the hammer. The headline result was the star lot: the 2015 Koenigsegg One:1 – one of only six customer examples ever produced and the world’s first road-legal car to achieve a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio -which sold to strong international bidding. A 2009 Ferrari 599XX Evo was among the other notable results, alongside a Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM AMG Cabriolet and a Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider, both of which performed strongly.

Sunday brings the second and final day of the event, culminating in the announcement of the Decade and Class Awards before the headline moment: the reveal of Best of Show. Very limited tickets remain available.
